McDonald’s World Cup 2026 meals are bringing soccer collectibles back to the counter with limited-time FIFA World Cup 26 meals, collectible cups, and Squishmallows Happy Meal toys at participating restaurants.

The chain announced the global campaign on June 2, saying fans can order a FIFA World Cup 26 Meal with one of nine collectible cups featuring soccer icons including Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and Grimace.

What is in the McDonald’s World Cup 2026 meal

In the U.S., McDonald’s says the FIFA World Cup 26 Meal started June 4 and includes a choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, a medium drink, and one collectible cup while supplies last.

The cups are the main draw. Instead of a standard promotion, McDonald’s is leaning into collector behavior with a lineup tied to international soccer names and the company’s own mascot universe.

Happy Meals get Squishmallows for World Cup season

McDonald’s is also tying the campaign to Happy Meals. Starting June 9, each FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal in the U.S. comes with one of 23 Squishmallows plushies, including official mascots for FIFA World Cup 26, according to the company’s announcement.

That gives the campaign two collectible lanes: cups for older fans and Squishmallows for families and younger fans. It also makes the promotion bigger than a single menu item drop.

Why McDonald’s is going early on World Cup hype

FIFA World Cup 26 will be hosted across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and McDonald’s is already positioning itself around matchday eating, fan rituals, and limited-edition keepsakes.

Fast-food collectibles tend to work when they are easy to understand and tied to a cultural moment. A global soccer tournament checks that box, especially when the meal can be ordered through normal restaurant visits instead of a separate merchandise release.

What fans should know before ordering

The biggest thing to know is that availability can vary. McDonald’s says the meals and Happy Meal toys are available at participating restaurants and while supplies last, so not every location will have the same inventory at the same time.

If you want a specific cup or Squishmallow, check the McDonald’s app or ask your local restaurant what is available before ordering. For collectors, this is probably a sooner-rather-than-later situation.
