KFC Just Announced 20 New Sauces, Boba Drinks, and a Complete Global Revamp
Kentucky Fried Chicken just dropped the biggest brand overhaul in its history - and it's not just new packaging.
On June 15, 2026, KFC announced a sweeping global revamp that touches nearly every part of the business: 20 new sauces, a completely reimagined beverage platform called KWENCH, a sauce-drenched "Dunked" menu, and two flagship concept restaurants opening in Texas and Dubai. It's the chain's most aggressive move to redefine fast-food chicken in a decade.
"In an increasingly crowded category, we have a clear opportunity to set the standard for modern chicken in QSR," said Scott Mezvinsky, KFC Global CEO, in the company's official press release. "This next chapter brings new energy and expression to what makes us iconic."
20 New Sauces - From Hot Honey Habanero to Berbere Ranch
The headline grabber is the sauce lineup. KFC is rolling out what it calls a global sauce "pantry" - 20+ sauces that range from classic comfort to internationally-inspired flavors. The full list includes Colonel Sauce, Classic Buttermilk Ranch, Texas BBQ, Louisiana Pepper Ranch, Cheesy Parmesan Garlic, Jalapeno Bourbon BBQ, Smokey Bacon Ranch, Berbere Ranch, Rancho Verde, Smoked Honey Chipotle Ranch, Jalapeno Pesto Ranch, Chinese Five Spice BBQ, Chimichurri Ranch, Korean BBQ, Thai Sweet N' Spicy, Lemon Pepper Glaze, Bang Bang Sauce, Hot Honey Habanero, Creole Honey Mustard, and Spicy Mango Chutney.
The first batch - Texas BBQ, Cheesy Parmesan Garlic, Jalapeno Pesto Ranch, and Hot Honey Habanero - launched in the UK and Ireland on June 15. KFC Global CMO Valerie Kubizniak told USA TODAY that the U.S. timeline hasn't been set yet, but the sauces are designed so individual markets can customize the lineup to local tastes.
The Dunked Menu: Sauce-First Eating
KFC is also expanding its "Dunked" menu - boneless tenders, wings, and chicken sandwiches that arrive already drenched in sauce. The format is already live in South Africa and India, and KFC says it's coming to more markets as part of the global rollout. Think of it as KFC's answer to the sauced-wing and tender model that chains like Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings have built empires on.
KWENCH: KFC's New Beverage Platform
Maybe the most unexpected part of the revamp is KWENCH by KFC - a full beverage platform that introduces Boba Refreshers (Cherry and Strawberry), Sparkling Lemonades (Raspberry and Cloudy Lemonade), Krunch Shakes (Caramel, Chocolate, and Strawberry Shortcake), and a line of iced coffees including Iced Latte, Iced Caramel Coffee, Iced Mocha, and Iced Tiramisu Latte.
Like the sauces, these drinks are launching first in the UK and Ireland. The only confirmed U.S. location getting them this summer is KFC's new Open House concept restaurant in McKinney, Texas.
Two Flagship Restaurants Coming
KFC is using its new restaurant designs as test kitchens. Open House in McKinney, Texas opens later this summer and will serve as a "dynamic test-and-learn environment" where KFC can try new ideas before scaling them. Then this fall, KFC is opening an immersive two-story restaurant in Dubai that the company calls "one of the boldest expressions of the brand's next-generation design."
The scale is worth noting: KFC opens a new restaurant somewhere in the world every 3.5 hours on average, with 34,000+ locations across 150 countries. When a revamp this big hits, it eventually touches a lot of real estate.
What It Means for U.S. KFC Fans
Right now, if you're in the United States, the honest answer is: you wait. None of the new sauces, drinks, or Dunked items have a confirmed U.S. release date yet. The McKinney Open House location is the closest taste Americans will get this summer.
But KFC didn't announce a global revamp to keep it in two markets. The UK and Ireland launch is clearly a test bed. If the sauces and KWENCH drinks perform - and early indicators suggest strong consumer interest - expect the U.S. rollout to follow, likely in phases through late 2026 and into 2027.
Until then, the Colonel's biggest transformation in years is happening - just not at your local drive-thru yet.
